Wesley to Folks, 05/09/1943
Sunday May 9, 1943Dearest "Folks"
Here it is Sunday night again and after 10:30 I've been on Patrol all day and last night so didn't get to write any sooner, last week we were out all week so never got to write either.
I haven't been getting many letters from you but with everything happening like its been I could expect much. I just got Bettys letter last night telling about Lloyd. Suppose I'll get some more news about it soon from you. It sure was a blow to me. I always considered him Lucky guess I was wrong sure feel sorry for his folks.
I got your short letter you wrote just after your return from Wyoming Mother. I got quite a few letters from Virginia so that helped some. Bettys letters have been coming through lots better now too.
Was glad to hear Dad got me some more heifers. Did you get the $100 I sent home last month?
Virginia sure talks like she is doing good. I got the picture of her you sent sure is good?
Well I'm going to get some sleep tomorrow is another big day. Good night. Don't Worry.
