November 8, 1942 Sunday

Dear folks

Just a few lines to let you know I am well and everything is fine in our locations. The wind is blowing some, but I like that it reminds me of Nebraska.

We arenít playing ball today and I have to on guard tonight so guess that will beat me out of going to a show they are going to have some place in our Company area.

I got a V-Mail letter from you yesterday Mother. The one you were telling me about cleaning the house. Oct 17th it was written.

Gee folks there isnít any news. I wish I had those air mail stamps I would send that money home, but guess I will wait until I do get some stamps.

Well guess I wonít bore you with anymore. Iím going to got take a shower and get ready to go on guard. I hope this finds you well and happy. I am fine. Donít worry, and tell Laurence he better be gaining some of that weight back. I donít know what I weigh but itís over 150. So long and

Lots of Love
