Dear Folks,

Must write you a few lines in answer to your swell letter I got today. I have such a time with my mail I don't get it when I should it comes in 3 different places.

There isn't any news. I'm sorry I didn't get to write last night we didn't get in until 11 o'clock and was pretty tired.

Our General, the Commander of the 33 Division, got killed today. A plane crashed somewhere between here and Fort Sill Oklahoma where he was going.

I got a swell letter from Ginny today and I haven't written her for 3 I sure am falling off my letters.

Avis, I don't know why I never write and address my letters to same. I include you all in every one. Guess I just think of you as a little fat baby and you like to get letters in the mail box in your name. Ha Ha. I suppose you are getting fatter aren't you? I sure hope for sure you ain't loosing any weight. I don't know how I stand, I haven't got weighed for a long time.

I sure can sleep good out in these tents if nothing else much.

Mother, they never say anything about my nose or nothing, they never say if they notice it or not. I always hate to ask. Nothing ever bothers either. I feel real good.

I don't know any more about moving only they say we will be on the train 5 days. Course we probably won't travel very fast as troop trains never do and they go round about ways too, but don't worry. I'll try and write as often as I can, and this is the address you are supposed to use word for word.
