Dear Folks

Just a line to let you know I got your nice package of gum today. Sure will give me a lot of chewing.

I got a letter from Laurence’s girl today and one from him yesterday, one from Jean today. She talks like she is going out to see Glenn, but don’t let her go for a while. I’m coming home sometime within the next two weeks. I don’t know just when for sure.

I got two letters from Virginia today. I sure like to get her letters. She talks like she is getting along swell.

Well tomorrow is inspection day again so gotta be ready for it. I got my rifle shining like a niger’s heel so that much is out of the way.

Thanks for the gum. I’ll try and write every day. I really am behind on my letters tho.
