Dear Folks

I didnít write you last night so I decided I better write tonight. I went to the show last night. Twilight on the Trail with Hoppy Cassidy was pretty good.

Donít know much news. Only got a letter from Aunt Francis, Lloyd, Virginia and Betty. Also got the Stuart paper so got quite a lot of reading.

Betty must have had lots of fun while she was up at Stuart. Iíve written 4 letters already tonight and am going to write one more. We are going to take some picture tomorrow. Iíll send some of them home after I get them back. We had inspection today. I passed ok.

We been having parades every night. Iíve got picked as platoon guide there is just three in one hundred and fifty men so I feel pretty good. Guess its cause I can keep good time to the band.

Yes, mom, I got lots of fruit to eat and ice cream pretty often. I buy some of it. We have lots of boiled meat, tho tonight we had liver fixed with onions. You can imagine how much supper I eat. I drink mostly milk and cocoa. The coffee tastes awful funny so I donít drink any to speak of.

Lots of Love
