Dear Folks

I havenít heard from you for two days but know everything is ok. We have been hiking most of the time all week. Donít know what we are going to do tomorrow. We put on a demonstration to new recruits today on how to drive out a machine gun nest guess we did all right.

I didnít get any letter from Betty or Virginia today either but got one from Evelyn and Laurence. I sure like to get letters from them.

Betty said toad and a bunch of kids were going to Camp Crusador (?) to see some of the boys, she wanted to know if I cared if she went, they ad asked her. I donít care, so suppose she will go hope she has a lot of fun.

I still donít know when we will get any notice about our furlough but should pretty soon. I been telling you that for a long time, but they say to look for one on a minuteís notice. I wish I had a suit case but I think I can borrow one from my Corporal.

Well folks I donít know anything as usual suppose you have the farming about all done for a time now hope the oats are in, in good shape and donít blow.

Iím getting pretty tired and I have my mess gear to wash bed to make and rifle to clean so guess I better stop for tonight. Probably will hear from you tomorrow and will write more then.

Lots of Love
